How does Fertilovit® work ?
Fertilovit® contains a specific combination of vitamins and other vital substances which improve protection of your sensitive sperms and oocytes against detrimental oxidative stress. In addition to that it supplies all the nutrients and minerals essential for healthy sperm and oocyte development.
Fertilovit® M and Fertilovit® Mplus specifically promote sperm development and guard spermatozoa from oxidative stress.
Fertilovit® F, Fertilovit® F THY and Fertilovit® F 35 plus were developed to support maturation of oocytes, thus facilitating conception, and to supply the female body with all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals needed for healthy pregnancy.
What are reactive oxygen species and what means oxidative stress ?
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are a group of highly aggressive chemical molecules (particularly radicals) that may attack your body cells. Oocytes as well as spermatozoa are particularly susceptible to these attacks.

How long should I take Fertilovit® ?
Complete development of sperms takes 74-78 days and women ought to make sure there are no dietary deficiencies well prior to conception. Therefore we recommend that you take Fertilovit® M and Fertilovit® Mplus at least from three months before conception after consultation with your doctor.
Fertilovit F supplements should be taken from the day you decide to wish to conceive until your are pregnant and also during the first weeks of pregnancy. From about the 12 th gestational week we recommend to take another, pregnancy-specific, supplement.

Are there any side effects ?
Usually the products are tolerated very well. In very rare cases a rash has been experienced. If you have known allergies against one or several components, it is advised not to take the product. If you suffer from a condition which (like hemochromatosis), makes you prone to iron overload, it is not advised to take Fertilovit F products due to the iron supplementation.
Is there anything special I have to be aware of when taking Fertilovit® ?
Fertilovit® supplements are food supplements or dietary supplements for specific medical purposes. They do not replace an healthy lifestyle and a well-balanced diet.
Please store Fertilovit® well out of reach of children.
Comply with the recommended dose, please. Detrimental effects have been shown for some of the ingredients when taken in very high doses.

Can I take Fertilovit® F 35 plus if I am younger than 35 ?
You can take Fertilovit® F 35 plus if you are younger than 35. However, it is not really neccessary for you to supplement coenzyme Q10, yet. Women under 35 usually have no deficiency of this micronutrient. If you take Fertilovit® F 35 plus nevertheless, the coenzyme Q10 may therefore have no additional benefit.
Can I take Fertilovit® F 35 plus when I am pregnant ?
Fertilovit® F 35 plus has been designed to prepare the female body for healthy conception, but supports the early steps of embryonic development, too. However, at least from the 12th gestational week it is recommended to take a specific supplement for pregnancy. The rapidly growing baby has an increasing need for certain minerals such as iron and it is also well established that from 20th gestational week the baby benefits from supplements containing omega-3-fatty acids.
